Artist Statement: Why create concrete sculpture? No need to fire it, it's durable and turns into something like stone when built over armatures. I also like creating acrylic paintings and sometimes I enjoy incorporating glass tiles into the piece.
Currently, I am building Petunia, the Alien Cow, who is riding on a bicycle and the whole piece is about 7 feet tall. There is a short cut-de-sac on Corbitt Drive. There are 4 sculptures in the front yard. Two of them have concrete bees on them.
Biography: My sculptures are in Victoria, and, as well, there are some paintings somewhere in Victoria. Some paintings are also in Ontario, Alberta and Sacramento, CA. My paintings have been in Look Gallery, Cedar Hill Gallery, the Library Gallery, Net Loft Gallery in Bamfield, and Penticton Art Gallery. I've also created I music cd, one mp3 of goofy Christmas songs and one music video. I created a comedy radio show and I have also been an improver with the Peach Gravy Theatre group.
