Artist Statement: I create art with the intention to evoke an emotional response and stimulate a desire to touch. I do this with my use of colour and texture. Acrylics and various mediums allow me to engage in a process of control as well as an organic approach to create art that is unique and can offer a story or feeling to each individual viewer. I am inspired by nature, music, colour, and emotions. My art is a process that is motivated by the situations experienced as a nurse as it offers a great outlet which allows me to connect my inspirations and these experiences into a moment in which I can create art that can be enjoyed by those who have an appreciation for abstract art.
