ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mac Alcock was born in England in 1901. He came to Canada in 1919 where he pioneered in the Columbia Valley. He came to Naramata in 1943. After a good deal of painting and drawing during his life, he studied art by correspondence course through the University of Victoria in 1960. His works, drawing and watercolours showed in Okanagan juried exhibitions. He was president of the Penticton Art Club for several years and founder of the Naramata Arts and Crafts Club. His work in our Permanent Collection was donated to the Show Committee Permanent Collection by Mr. Alcock's family after his death in 1972.
