ABOUT THE ARTIST

Muriel Ferley studied art through the extension department courses of the Winnipeg School of Art from 1950-52. She came to Penticton in 1957 with her family. She began painting again after studying with Toni Onley through the Okanagan Summer School of the Arts in 1962. Her work was accepted in 1963, to the first juried show she entered. She has had a solo show in Penticton, juried shows throughout the Okanagan Valley, as well as the Federation of Canadian Artists juried show in Vancouver.

Her work in our Permanent Collection was included in a two-person show with Barbara Holden in 1968. It was donated to the Show Committee Collection by an anonymous member of the Art Club in the same year.
